Working from Home, part 2

Despite a myriad of communication problems, the russians (or whoever) have put in a very nice, new window (that actually opens!). I think we should have vodka shooters now...

Work from Home Day

Today, I get to work from home (a rarity in my office) because we are having our bay window replaced. NOTE: no more cute curtains will identify our house (as the workers destroyed them)--I will have to find some other thing to help people pick our drab brown house out from the others.

I have russians in my house right now (or some other eastern Europeans) and we are having quite a difficult time communicating about the window installation. Apparently, they think this enormouse piece of construction is going to fit inside somehow.

Columbia Heights Day follow up

Well, with Columbia Heights Day over I feel as if I have almost nothing to do. However, I have been cherishing this quiet time, catching up on reading and relaxing. A friend just posted photos from the festival to flickr, so if you have a chance check them out. Posted here are two of my favorites. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mareeberry/sets/72157602523525482/with/1634680488/

Fun at last!

Ok, all things are well now and we can relax and have some fun. Tisha, Jay and I are absolutely horrible at hoola-hooping. So,maybe we should do something we're clearly more skilled at...

Much better...

More troubles...

And this is how I spent the beginning of the festival...me, the 18 year old and the fun van. We are missing one generator so I get to spend a couple hours hunting one down and trying to feign interest in the trials & tribulations of a college freshman.

Columbia Heights Day Kicks Off!

Columbia Heights Day is off to a rocky start-our showmobile is stuck in the gate! We have a few hours though, so we hope to turn things around...

When all good children should be in bed...

why do we insist on staying up until all hours of the morning? And, on a school night none the less (someone may have missed class the next day but I won't say who).
