More snow...

More snow, nice but I want to come home. So, everyone cross your fingers that the airport will be free & clear of problems by 5:45pm.

And it keeps coming down...

So, hours (has it been hours?) have gone by and the snow has not stopped. While nothing compared to the snow BostonSteamer has experienced recently, it's pretty exciting.
However, because my sister is a giant d*#$he bag, she refuses to drive in even the mildest of winter weather and thus has convinced our Aunt to cancel her Christmas dinner.

So, I sit here at my father's computer trying to work on my resume and cover letters for all the cool jobs I'd like to have; aggravatingly (because this is how my day looks to be headed), my father does not have the Microsoft Office (or anything resembling that) on his computer...I think I may be in alternate-1987 right now.

This is fantastic, I will now go help Dad clear off the car so we can head to the movies (and I will be driving, because these Colorado peeps are afraid of the snow...who knew?).

It's a White Christmas!

Not quite as exciting as last year, as we had the two blizzards back to back, but who doesn't love a white Christmas? This is the view from my father's balcony and while upset that I cannot go for my morning run (yeah, right.) I am excited to cozy up with some hot breakfast rolls, coffee and the newspaper. Don't tell dad, but I spiked his coffee...it was only fitting, mom got him a Bailey's coffee set for the holiday and it did not have any actual Bailey's in the kit (what were these people thinking?).

And, just to be a tad bit of a grump this fine morning...what is with the quality of newspaper in this city? I am certain I just read an entire newspaper and was made stupider (see?!?!). While I may be biased, as my lovely boyfriend works for one of the finer papers in the country, is it too much to ask for some content written at (at least) a high school level? Obviously, I will just have to rely on the interweb for my dose of daily news for the remainder of this trip.

Have a very Happy Holiday!

You have new Picture Mail!

Guess who's the lucky boy to get a pony this Christmas...maybe this will break him of his dancin' habit!

Wassail Song

A not so good rendition (or cinematography) of Wassail singing.

Wassail, Year 5

Ragan's blog cherry's been popped...and another succesful Wassail passed! For those of you who are unawares, Wassail is a caroling beverage (yes, as in Christmas Carols...not that I sing, just saying). Frequently consumed in the frigid climates of the Northeast, this beverage (yes, it has alcohol...would I attend a party without?) is featured in one christmas carol as far as I am aware. If anyone has a further history of this esteemed drink please do share!
